Error "Email registration validation already in use" but can continue checkout

When I try to register or change the email address that's already in use on checkout, I get the error message "This email is already registered.", but the program won't force me to stay in the registration form until it's filled out correctly. I still continue checkout and I saw virtuemart saved this email address in order. This make users's information unclear.

Please help me fix this error, thanks.
