delete virtuemart menu name from the urls

Good time of the day!

i have one problem. i try to find the solutions, but there is not any...

I have joomla 2.5 + virtuemart 2.  i have 2 menus : main (with just homepage) and top (hidden menu) with all links to virtuemart. also one of the top menu's item links to virtuemart main page.

"homepage". it;s page with my modules ( some virtuemarts too).

What s a problem : all urls in the my site like www.site.com/mainvirtuemartpage/category/product.

i need www.site.com/category/product.

I tryed to create new menu category's link to the virtuemart category's. nice decision, but i had access to product from 2 url :

www.site.com/mainvirtuemartpage/category/product
www.site.com/category/product

i tryed to assign main virtuemart menu status "home". it;s nice too: url without "mainvirtuemartpage" and no double,
but url site.com links to main virtuemart page! i needn;t it!!

please , can anybody helps me?

i ve already done it as i told before. but url "mysite.com" links to main virtuemart page. i needn;t this useless page. or may be my english is bad and i didn;t realise what do u exactly tell ^^

i have 2 menu. 1 — main (has just 1 homepage without subitems(MAIN page of the site links to "site.com"). homepage consists of slider, module virtuemart category's, and etc)

2 — top menu. this menu has only 2 items without subitems- virtuemart homepage ,virtuemart shopping cart.

i didn;t understand ur's question again but try to tell all about my structure.

post your url.

IF you do not want the mainlink   to be in teh product URL

You need to create menu links to ALL top level categories (EACH)
