Order confirmation email not sent to customer

I use Joomla 2.5.4 and Virtuemart 2.0.12. I have checked Default Order Status to send an invoice - Confirmed. I also confirm orders in back end, but still no email is sent to the customer that an order is created. An e-mail is sent to the admin that a customer has created an order. Should I change something in some php file?
