Custom field in cart

Hi,

I want to allow customers to edit a customfield in the cart (ie. : a t-shirt size). I need the size option to be displayed in the cart. Is that currently possible?

If it is not, I could get it done by having a cue on how are the custom field generated; which file should I look at?
