OFFLINE (manual processing) Payment or simple workaround

Hi guys

new to virtuemart here!

My first client want to have a credit capture process. So that he can process the order afterwards via his card machine. I know this isnt a great "modern" way. I know there are certain laws regarding this... etc etc etc but this is my clients wishes even after my convincing speech to avoid doing it

Ok, so i understand virtumart used to have a built in function before version 2. And now that plugin costs over £30 to buy. I would like to get a free method of doing this process.... if possible.

If not, then atleast a way that uses virtumart just as a shopping cart, and once the order is complete the customers shopping list and phone number gets emailed to the vendor and he can just ring the customer up and take card details that way

Thanks Pro, i appreciate the help... although that is the very extension i was referring to as being over £30 where as i want a free alternative.... or a way that just emails the vendor with the shopping list and phone number so he can phone the customer afterwards to discuss card payment

Then just configure the standard payment plugin & change some text strings to use a version of Purchase Order.

I have just tried this

It seems to be the right direction. Standard payment type, capturing the shopping basket and emailing it to the vendor. But I dont have any options to add any text fields or anything. I'd expect to be able to add a text field asking for credit card number and phone number etc etc

I guess this is what you mean when you say "change some text strings to use a version of Purchase Order." - but i dont understand that :-/
