Coupon code depending on product or manufacturer group

Hey forum,

i want to know if i'm able to add a coupon code to only some products or a specific product group, like eg. manufacturer.

I saw a request on adding this feature in 2009, and i think it's pretty relevant, so maybe it has been added? Though i can't find it anywhere
