After Migration Lost Prices

Not sure what happened, this is the fourth shop I have upgraded. This time, I've lost the prices. I've reinstalled, upgraded, brought the old j25_ tables back in, ran the migrator over and over - no luck! Can anyone tell me how to bring the prices back?

I sure could use a hand here. I've checked my DB and the prices exist in myprefix_vm_product_price (also in the old j25 tables). But - I don't see them in admin or in the front end. I'm logged in as super user in both.

Folks, I REALLY could use your help. I hired a "programmer" 4 days ago to fix the SQL for me. The site is supposed to go live tomorrow evening and he came back today with his "fix" - he turned on all the options in Price configuration and unpublished my Wholesale Shopper Group. Sigh....

So - I have spent the last few hours working on it myself. I have only the most cursory of knowledge of SQL. I exported the old price table and the new price table. I changed the column headings that needed to be changed. After some sleuthing about Indonesian rupiah numeric id, I actually got all the prices into VM! BUT I then realized that the Product ID's are no longer the same!!!!! I checked to see if there is some reason to the change, like starting at zero instead of 14 - but I don't see a pattern.

1. If you know SQL and have a solution, please, please, please let me know what it is.
2. If you know SQL and want to do it for me for a reasonable charge - PLEASE let me know.
3. If there is a way to dump tables and run the VM migrator again to see if I can pick them up with their prices, PLEASE let me know!

I am sorry, seems you felt into a little trap, due the migration. Please contact me via pn, I think I can help you quite fast. there is another post, which I do not find myself atm, explaining which query has to be executed to get old multiple prices directly running in vm2.

I ran out of time and added the prices manually. I'd still really like to know how to do 1,2,and3 though - in case this happens again. I have another 3 sites to migrate...

Hi, I just like to add my 5 cents worth which I hope is helpful.
I have Joomla 1.5 and Virtuemart 2.
When I first installed the Virtuemart it would not update to the latest version.
I waited a few weeks and I installed the latest version 2.0.14.
After the upgrade I too lost prices and most of the information of all my products, all I had was the Description. SKU, price etc all missing.
I noticed in Admin the upgrade added three extra items Disabled, Overwrite Final & Overwrite Price to be Taxed.
I could not turn any of these off only could select one or the other.
I tested all three items on one of my SKU's on the site and nothing worked.
After a few days scratching my head and pulling my hair out.
I than opened up one of my SKU's and saved it again.
I went into the SKU on the site and the Price etc came up on my site, so I tested another an another and the SKU's and prices etc appeared on my site.
I have several Categories so I opened up every SKU in one category and saved everyone manually they all showed up I was able to see all the products on my site from that category.
As I have over 1000 products on my site I decided to upload all the items again via CSV Advanced and deleted all the corrupt products.
My site is up and running perfect, well almost perfect.
I have a problem were now I go into a category I go through the pages one after the other, but if I am in page 3 and I want to go to page 1 or 2 it won't let me it stays on page 3.
I have to go into another category and go back into the previous category and than page 1 is up. Going down is great going back it won't let me.
Has anyone had this problem? Appreciate a fix.
