Installing VirtueMart

Can someone help me please! This seem to be a common problem but there isnt any useful solution posted.
I have install Joomla 2.5 and trying to install virtue mart.
This is the error Im getting, when I try to use the install package option from the extension manager

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

I have altered to upload size in the php.ini.
Im installing this on XAMPP localhost.
I saw many posting upzip the files..

I have downloaded these files
com_virtuemart.2.0.12f.tar
com_virtuemart.2.0.12f
com_virtuemart.2.0.12f_ext_aio.tar
com_virtuemart.2.0.12f_ext_aio

Questions, Do I need to further extract these zip files into a folder?
If so then what am I upload from the Extension MAnager. It will not required a specifc file from these extracted folder.

Please help.!!!
