Hey Forum,

i have installed a onepage checkout plugin for virtuemart, but now the cart is all messed up, missing images and styling for the "Show Cart" button.

So i would just like to remove the cart from the checkout page as it isn't really needed here. How do i do this?

I cannot understand what you are describing. Can you post an image of the screen showing the issue?

Hi Jenkinhill,

yes, i will try to clarify myself. I have a picture of the difference between the cart on my "onepagecheckout"-extension page, and all of my other pages.
The problem is that it loses all of its styling and references to images.

Because of this problem, i would like to just fully disable the cart on my onepagecheckout page, so i wont have to fix this problem.

I hope you understand now :-)

OK, I now understand.

I have done this through Joomla's menu system. I have a main menu link set to VirtueMart Front page. I have another link to Shopping cart.  Now in the module manager I open the VM cart module and change the menu assigment so it is published on the Front page menu item but not on the Shopping Cart menu item.  Now the cart module will not show when you check out.

The menu link to the cart page can be added to a hidden menu if you don't want the link to appear in your main menu,

Other ways to do this would be to use the Joomla extensions, metamod or advanced module manager.

Oh yes, of course. That makes so much sense. Thanks a lot for your reply :-) Everything is working perfectly now
