Hello, I have tried to install virtuemart in every way possible and I've failed.

I wonder if there are any installation package that includes joomla and virtuemart in their latest versions.

Sorry, my English is not very good, I use a translator.

Thanks, Greetings!

?? I don't understand.

It's a 3 step process:

  • Install Joomla!
  • Install VirtueMart
  • Install VirtueMart AIO
It's all handled through the installer.

Perhaps telling us why it failed or what error messages you get will help us to help you install it...?

PHP version?
MySQL version?
OS?
APACHE/IIS?

I did not know how to correct these errors.

Thanks, Greetings!

ivus

ok.

2. Error, Could not create destination folder.

have you checked that the following is set correctly, I know it's not a permissions issue as Windows doesn't work the same way as Linux when it comes to directory permissions (CHMOD).

  • in your PHP.INI file, safe_mode = Off
  • in your Joomla config, var $tmp_path is set tp the correct folder
  • checked your log files

I do not know, nowhere I read that I need to change any permission, all folders 755, this is correct?
or
What are the correct chmod permissions?

  • I haven´t php.ini or I do not know how to get.

  • public $feed_limit '10';
    public
    $log_path '/home/u370799920/public_html/logs';
    public
    $tmp_path '/home/u370799920/public_html/tmp';
    public
    $lifetime '15';
    public
    $session_handler 'database';

  • Quotechecked your log files
    I do not understand, sorry.

Linux is better than windows7 for joomla?

ivus

OK...

So you're on LINUX. AND you're working on a live server.

Just remember, VirtueMart is a component of Joomla!. If you don't get Joomla! installed and configured properly, you can't expect that VirtueMart will install properly (and then blame VM for the issues).

    FTP into this directory : /home/u370799920/public_html/logs and view the error.log file.
