Template dependent language override ?

I have installed a mobile template and now i need some other (shorter) language strings for the mobile template.

How can i force Joomla to use the modified language file if the mobile template is in use ?

Some strings have to be shortened than in the default template/language....

i.e.
beez => default language
mobile => modified default language

Theoretically by placing the modified language files into a language folder within your mobile template folder (similar to the language folders in the beez template). But I never tested that.

Tried to insert a modified language folder/file into my template like in beez...but no change/override....unfortunately....

I'm shure there are some tricks to do this. Use Google to search for hints. Perhaps this one is helpful:

The langauge for VM is independent from Joomla-Templates...that`s the problem.
