Highest Weight does not handle decimal points

If I set a product to 0.025 Kilogramme
highest weight for a shipping method set to 0.05 Kilogramme, the shipping method does not show up

with all settings same,

If I set a product to 25 kilogramme
highest weight for a shipping method set to 50 kilogramme, the shipping method shows up if I purchase 2 or less products

with all setting same, strangely enough

If I set a product to 0.025 Kilogramme
highest weight for a shipping method set to 50 Kilogramme, the shipping method shows up if I purchase 2 or less products

it means for the highest weight, but not the lowest weight, virtuemart's shipping disregards all decimal points?
