No Currency Defined error

1:  Have fresh Joomla 1.7 install
2:  Installed fresh virtuemart (2.0.0)...I also tried 2.0.1
3:  I get the No Currency Defined error (Will not let me change to US currency)
4:  Also when I try to save the vendor name, address, etc info, it will not save.  It gives an error to "Please enter enter your name"

I really need to get this up and running...PLEASE!!!!

Hi did you ever get a solution for this?  i have the same problem and have used many different broswers and still no luck saving.
