Sorting bugs

VM 2.0.18a, Joomla 2.5.9, PHP 5.3.8
I've  found such mistakes of ordering functionality in backend:

1. although you assign few categories to a product only one sort number for product exists. ordering number have to be one for each category which product belongs to
2. ordering number cann't be filled with some values although number is vacant. I see it when ordering product categories list in backend.
3. reoordering of products within filtered category: e.g. when you hit up arrow and then hit save ordering raised product returns to his initial position

You must select a category filter, then you see the ordering for the selected category,

furthermore a product has its own ordering for the sorting of childs.

I enter the category filter and order my products in the "Reorder" column, but products on public facing won't be in the order i setup and when I go back to that product category filter, none of my changes saved even though I click the "Save Order" button.  I have tried both using the blue arrows and using the number boxes and neither work to set the order of my products...what am I doing wrong?  I really need this to work.

hello. may be you didn't set default product order at Configuration - > Product Order Settings tab?
