How to Keep Customer in VM Cart After Incorrect Login?

When a person returns to a site and purchases again then INCORRECTLY enters their username/password in the cart area, they are then redirected to a standard Joomla login form which takes them away from the cart.

How can we keep the person on the CART PAGE even when they have entered an incorrect login?
It is driving one of my clients nuts.
