Link for upgrade doesn't work

Hello

In Virtuemart is an icon for Update and this says there is a new update.
When I click after a while it gets the error  Problems with connection
The same when I use Virtuemart AIO

Can I download the upgrade and upgrade through the Joomla Extention manager ?

Who can help.

VM2.0.1x was a development series so the built-in updater was never set up. The safest way that I have found to upgrade is simply to use Joomla's extension installler. No need to remove previous editions, just install the main component and the accompanying aio component on top of the existing setup.

Do this on a backup of the site first!

How to upgrade by Joomla installer I know how to do.
But you said also try on a back first.
I know how to make a back with Akkeeba but that's all.
Can you advise me how to do.

Restore just needs the use of Akeeba's kickstart.php
