On our VM 2.0.6a the user is asked to enter a password and confirm this on the registration page. Yet the system then generates a new password and replaces the users choice. This new password is sent in the confirmation e-mail. Is there something wrong in the configuration?

Also on registration page, under "Title" the dropdown box is empty and has no options. Where can this be configured, i.e. enter options "Mr", "Mrs" etc.?

Thanks in advance!

??

hi misscherylb,

I think mosty might skip this post as you write 2.0.6 a ?  some needed this update for other reasons - ? can you go back to just 2.0.6 version and test  it there and then if not roll forward to 2.0.7. plus.

* passwords in the system are normally related to Joomla - so I think that you might hav eto look at your joomla "updates too" -- there was a big issue in JM 2.5.3 but was fixed later -

* Titles : mr , Mtrs etc are found in configuration>> shopper fields>> title>> you should be able to put som,e new ones in here.

Joomla is uptodate at 2.5.4
I thought the password was working fine before... can't think what might have changed?!

That's odd that it's gone back to normal - I didn't do anything!?
So sorry for the trouble! But thanks a lot for looking into it!
And glad it's all good again... phew...

Sure, consider yourself deleted :-)

Thanks again!!
