Redirect page cleaning cart?

Ive bougth a payment plugin (JD Ideal gateway).
But since im using a lite version of ideal. When then custumer is redirected after he made the payment.
He gets back in the shop and his products are still in the cart. I do get an order confirmation, but the customer doenst receive an order confirmation.
Making the payment module useless. Is there a way i can complete the order when the customer returns (cleaning the cart as well)?
The module offers a redirect page to redirect after a succesful payment.

Same goes for the Danish ePay payment plugin of nov. 22
They claim it worked in 1.1.9

so what changed - some dev input or maybe someone got this to work.
