UPS Plugin Rates Correct?

I have installed the UPS plug-in and entered the correct data for all of my products. (putting the boxes and weight sizes in) For some of my products there are 4 products in a box.

When the quantity is set to 1 (four fit in a box) the shipping rate is accurate (for 4) for when comparing to UPS worldship. When i have the "units in a box" set to four. When eight are ordered the shipping rate is supposed to be 14.79 compared to UPS world ship. The total is 10.46. How is this being calculated?

Is there a way to just add a 15% up charge to shipping? I want to provide the most accurate shipping rates. But also not be loosing money.

Hi Malibu,
Sorry for the long waiting Support.
I was on busness travel without connection.
I Hope you found a solution , i think it  must be a UPS setting mistake in the plugin.

Greets,

If the developer team or anyone on the board has an answer, I would love to hear it.

One of the primary reasons for upgrading to VM 2.0 was that the pre-release notes said the API would be used more fully.  It appears that is not true at the moment.

Hi,

We found a bug when calculating the weigth for UPS.
This bug is corrected in the version UPS Plugin 1.0.3.
You can donwload the new version via this link http://extensions.virtuemart.net/my-orders

QuoteWhen i have the "units in a box" set to four.
We don't use this parameter to know how many units can be included in a box for UPS. This parameter is meant to tell how many pieces of this Products are in one box, but is not related to UPS.

Yes we can add this feature. It can be usefull.

Alatak,

Thanks for the link to the newest version of the UPS plugin.  The file downloads without an extension. I added the .zip extension to it and it seems to be recognized by the Joomla installer.  However I am receiving an error on the install.  see attached

Sometimes these messages come from permissions...sometimes from config issues, etc.  I am wondering if I need to uninstall the old version? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I uninstalled and installed the update with no erros.

I am still not convinced this plugin pulls the API correctly. Here is an example:
1lb package measuring 10x10x16 inches- shipping 8.92 Sounds fine
1lb package measuring 10x20x16 inches- shipping 8.92 no change.

10 lb package measuring 10x10x16 inches- shipping 10.12 too cheap
10- 1lb packages measuring 10x10x16 inches- shipping 10.12 no change.

Before I tried each example above, I deleted the order, cleared my browser cache and logged out.  Then i logged in again.

Are you still working on this?
