About installation

I installed vm2.0, but it didn't work for me, so i decided to uninstall it.   Now i want to install it again, and i would like to know if everything from the first  installation need to be  uninstall (plugins, modules, components) and then start everything from scratch. or can i install it over the old installation

You can install without having to uninstall the previous component/modules etc.

I downloaded Virtuemart 2.0.2 version.  then i opened it with winrar, but i didn't get the two zip file, you said i was going to get after i open it, as you stated in the earlier email that you sent to me, but an unzip file.  I don't know if because you downloaded an earlier different version of virtuemart than i did, the process is different.  I tried to capture everything, so you can see step by step what i did.  I appreciate your help on this issue

The provided file is a zip file, not a rar file. (I don't see rar files in the download section)
If it doesn't work, try a different zip-utility, i.e. "7zip"  http://7-zip.org/, which is free software.

I created my product category, and now i am trying to create a sub-category or product type.   I first created a sub-category, but this subcategory shows in a blank page without menus, modules, just the subcategory.     Then i read that i better use product type to get this result, but when i hit product in my control panel, the option "product type" doesn't show.    I am using virtuemart 2.0.2  and joomla 2.5.  thanks for your help
