Discounts by manufacturer

I'd like to be able to input all products with the MSRP. Then, for each manufacturer, I want to assign a discount percentage which would apply to all products across the store that are under that manufacturer. The discount feature works, but it sets them up based on whatever the actual discount is. If each discount had a name, then I would be able to set one for each manufacturer.

Can anyone assist?
