Testing pp legacy via sandbox - logon issues

Hi,

I have been advised how to change the VM pp script so that at the final stage of the checkout you are directed to the pp sandbox site.

Can someone help me with the details about how how this works (in layman's terms).

For the pp legacy setup, for the Payment method type: setting, I have selected "HTML-Form based (e.g. PayPal)"  is this correct?

That is, I have a 'test buyer' registered on my site. they buy goods and as the paypal (LEGACY) payment is the only option, the final set up stage sends them to paypal sandbox.

DOES any of my site's rego info get carried forward to the sandbox (or in the future the real paypal site? I ask this because I have registered on the sandbox site. Then I have created a buyer account and a sellers account.

When the test buyer is referred to the site I try and use the email that paypal formed for them like  test01_1279824359_per@adomain.com  and the password I gave that account, but I can not get logged on to continue the test.

when it refers me to the sandbox site and i click on the link to take me there, it auto fills the email box with the email I put into the pp legacy configuration - NOT the email of the test buyer I created. This is wrong, what do I need to do to test the buying process in sandbox?

IS there a way for people to pay me via paypal legacy without them being being a paypal member? Or will they be forced to join using this set up?

???

It would be really really good if a simple guide was put together with these answers. I am reading the paypal sandbox manual but it doesnt cover off these simple questions (or so it seems).
