Can't apply shipping rates

Hello, I'm having problems with the shipping on my site. For some reason the shipping options are never shown at checkout, and no shipping charges are applied. I've tried enabling and disabling the different shipping methods in 'Admin/Configuration', I've set the minimum for free shipping in 'Store/Edit Store', I've tried different configurations for some of the shipping models, and I set a shipping rate using the standard shipping module. Anyone seen this before, its driving me nuts! I'll be grateful of any help offered, thanks,

Doh! I figured it out, at some point in the past I must have switched off the "Please select a Payment Method!" option in the 'configuration/checkout' box. I'll go back to sleep now...
