Avoid automatic order status update email

Hey there,

I have a paypal payment process after that the customer and the vendor receive the order confirmation emails. After the payment the order status is set to "confirmed" and an email in sent to the customer: "The order status has changed". I would like to avoid this email.

Any ideas?
