Hello eveyone. I have finished my first attempt at a VM/Joomla! site.  I'm mostly satisfied with the results.  Check it out, I welcome feedback, at http://www.uwrap.com

Thanks

Hi there, not bad for a 1st site.  My suggestion would be to make it a fixed width.  It looks very odd on a wide screen monitor.  More widescreens are coming into use and unless you make a very carefull design, your site will look like its all white space right in the middle!

Hi Hillary:

Construcitvely, I have to agree with royceh above with regard to the fixed width for your site. Although there are still those stragglers who (for whatever reason) use an 800x600 screen resolution,  most people these days use at least 1024x768 or higher (as I do).  As such, thee is a whole lot fo white empty space on the page with a "100%" width designation.

My suggestion would be to choose a width of 900-1000px, with a center alignment.  That way,t he site will always be centered on the viewer's screen no matter what resolution they are viewing at.

Also, your left vertical navigation menu is acting a little funny - at least on my computer.  When I mouse over a button, it disappears for about a second, and then displayes the mouseover button.  Not sure why that is (might be my own java settings).

Lastly, I don't see an "About Us" page or any policies/procedures pages with regard to doing business with your site.  These content items are very important with an ecommerce site.

Overall, I think your site is coming along nicely . . . Keep up the good work.
