Dear Sirs,

I refer some topics which state that VitueMart can be installed, migrate or upgrade.

If I create a Joomla 5.1.4

1. can vituemart is developed for this new CMS? which version for it?
2. can I have a download link to install the VirtueMart in Joomla 5.1.4?
3. I have a website which is using Joomla 3.6.5 and VirtueMart 3.0.14, Thus with your answer in (point 1), can I migrate all my data (invoice, order, history, manufacturers....) into this new version?
4. since current CMS Joomla 3.6.5 has edited some core files that I cannot directly upgrade the Joomla 3 into 4 or 5,  that's why I need to create a new website and transfer article, category, menu little by little to the new website, The most concern is make sure all virtuemart 3.0.14 data can be found in your new version. Thus, is there any tutorial on virtuemart new version upgrade that I can follow?

Thanks for your kind attentin

If I'm not mistaken VM4.2.6+ is compatible with J3/4/5.
VM may need the B/C Behaviour plugin, I don't know.
This plugin is part of J4.4 and J5.

Joomla 3.6.5 is very old and core edits are never recomended.
I don't know if VM3 is compatible with J4/5.

Notes:
- You cannot update from J3.6.5 straight to 5.1.4. It needs to be done in steps.
- Update from J3 to J4 to J5 can only be done when Joomla is on the latest version. ( Currently: J3.10.12, J4.4.8 )
- Your J3 template may not be compatible with J4/5.

Step by step update from J3.10.12 to 4.x

Step by step update from J4 (latest version) to J5
https://docs.joomla.org/Joomla_4.4.x_to_5.x_Planning_and_Upgrade_Step_by_Step/en

Be Aware of minimum requirements. Especially for J5.

Create a backup and install it on your computer

Update your site locally first
Advantage of running a copy locally is so you'll know what to expect during an update without affecting the live site. And if something does go wrong, nothing is lost. You can start over without loosing any data.

Create backups between steps, so you don't have to start all over if something breaks during one of the steps.

To run a local server many recomend WAMP or MAMP, some prefer Xampp.

While experiences may differ from site to site. For me all updates from J3 to J4 and from J4 to J5 went smoothly.
