When u update from VirtueMart 3.8.6 10373 TO VirtueMart 3.8.9 10557

I hope this is not a production site. VM3.8.9 10557 is RC for testing only.

This error I think is connected to how Joomla has changed the behavior of dates. Joomla pre 3.10 could remedy this. The VM team is working on the issue to get a stable version.

You could try installing tables or if necessary updating them under Tools in VM backend.
