What is the recommended update sequence from 3.0.6.3?

Hello,

I would like to know what updates I should install to update VirtueMart from version 3.0.6.3 to a current version. The webpage so far used VM just as a catalogue of products, without option to order them, so it wasn't updated for a long time. But now, we would like to extend VM to ordering too - so the updates are very needed. But I was wondering if I had to use every single update version, or whether there's just several steps I have to go through. For example, is it necessary to update to 3.0.6.4, 3.0.7, 3.0.8, etc.?

Right now, I updated Joomla from 3.3.6 to 3.4.8 and Akeeba from 4.7.7 to 6.4.0, to make the updates and backup possible.

I have successfully updated from vm3.0.+ to 3.8.8 quite a few times

of course you should also be on latest Joomla and do any upgrades first on a test/clone site

If there are problems it will most likely be with your template so switch to beez3 before updating -- then try your current template
