virtue mart in Africa

I plan to launch an online service sales platform. I was thinking of doing it with joomla for the website and blog part and virtuemart for the payment.

The target customer is in Africa. And there, people don't really use credit cards yet (very low bank rate), but they are more on mobile money payments. Could this kind of transaction be done smoothly with virtuemart?

Knowing that the rest of the world could also buy with a credit card.

Just do a Google search for "Virtuemart XXXXX payment plugin"

XXXXX is what ever you think are the most popular mobile payment apps in Africa .. if a plugin exists your good to go .. if not you need to find a developer who can develop one for you.

Mobile paiement can be implemented if they have an Api but most time you have a transaction limit
For eg in china you have Alipay.

If I created some websites for Tanzania, then all payments was blocked from outside country from goverment.

I found an alternative solution (although restrictive because involving many intermediaries) while waiting to see with virtuemart
