Virtuemart products module error: Class 'vmLanguage' not found

I cannot configure or use my Virtuemart products module (for featured items, etc.). I get an error page that says: Class 'vmLanguage' not found . Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this? I am using virtuemart 3.

The error message will tell you on which file the error occurred.  Exactly which "virtuemart 3" version are you using?

A simple forum search throws up some reports of 'vmLanguage' not found reports. eg:  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=141362
