Hello,

I've never used children, so I am not sure if I have to enter the Dimensions and Weight for each child to have the shipping calculated. That would mean a couple of hundreds.

Thanks

If You do not enter anything for these fields in the child it inherits the settings of the parent product.

After trying it on several parent/child products, the children do no inherit the Product Dimensions and Weight. These fields are empty in the children after entering into the parent before creating children.

ehrm
Have you tested it in the frontend, it is there the inheritage takes place. IF you leave the child filelds EMPTY.

I have not. I saw they were empty and I added the weight and dimensions of the parent to them. So, even if these field are empty in the children, they should work on the front page?

Yes, that is the whole idea whith inheritance. Adding data on the fields overrides the inheritance. If your child has higher or lower then add the data othetwise. Remember 0 is not an empty field.

Great. Thank you, Jörgen. As I always say: Zero is also a number.
