Manual selection of shipment method and payment

Hello everybody

I created two shipment methods (free of charge within the city borders and call to find the shipment cost outside the city) since the site I'm creating ain't international. I was expecting the system to enable the client to select which one of the two at checkout. On the contrary, the systems seems to try to apply the rules in the configuration of the shipment methods. Can't the system simply display a listbox enabling the user to select which of the two.

I face the same problem when creating a payment method. I've created two methods but the system always seem to select the first by default, not giving the client a chance to select one of the two.

This is determined by a configuration in the VM setup

admin -> virtuemart -> configuration - TAB -checkout

Enable Automatic Selected Shipment
Enable Automatic Selected Payment

If you want nothing selected - set to none
If you want the first in your method sequence - set No preference
If you want a specific method - set that method
