Search products by meta description and keywords

Hi,

I've searched the forum and found the "Available Search Fields" in VirtueMart configuration but I'can't find a solution or option to search on product meta description and keywords.
How can this be done?

In case you are willing to use a 3rd party extension, have a look at Custom Filters.

It searches within those fields plus much more

I prefer a solution without 3rd party extension because we already use a lot 3rd party extensions.

but all changes are corehacks and will be lost on next update

I've looked at the file but I don't know what to change?
