Multiple confirmations and emails

Hi All,

I have an issue with orders confirming more than once and causing multiple emails to be sent. In the back end of virtuemart - the orders page -  I can see multiple confirmed statuses against each of the orders for which I have multiple emails. This seems to imply to me that the real issue is that the orders are confirming more than once. So, how can I stop them from doing so?

I think this is a PayPal issue but if somebody could point me towards a solution I would be grateful.

Sounds like You have a payment plugin that is working double. Deactivate ALL the pluging that You are not using.

Standard Paypal does not have this issue as far as I know, this is probably some other plugin.

Which payments are updated multiple times ?
Which Payments are You using?
Why is this happening now? HAs it worked before? Have You updated soemthing or added something new to the site?

I have PayPal Express Checkout (1.3.12) and it is the only active payment method. Could their be a PayPal plugin that is shipped with VM? The plugin could still be active I guess but no payment method is setup for it. So all the duplicate confirmations are on express checkout payments.

The site is new so it has happened since creation as far as I know. I have several other sites on joomla that work fine, although since updating one to 3.5.1 it no longer sends emails at all - that is a matter for another day though as the site in question is much more important right now.

Is a well known problem with J3.5.1 - VM3.0.16 was released to solve that very problem.   http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=133760.0

Search the Plugins: Payment, Shipment and others  for other reports of multiple emails.
