Hi,

I was going to jump onto the last guys thread, but might not get a specific answer to this questions if I did that.

My developer has recently upgraded to VM3.0.12  and it is only since then that the customer emails confirming their order have stopped.

I have had several complaints about this and its a great way to lose customers.  Is there some new button or a bug that is doing this?

Any answers - looking forward to a fix.  Thank you !  Bruce

We randomly get "could not connect to SMTP" in checkout and therefore order proceeds but e-mail is not send.

We contacted the host but they could not locate an issue.

As said, not a problem until my developer upgraded to the latest.

Perhaps there is a box that needs checking 'somewhere' ?

The customers say that the order process goes through without a hitch, and they get a confirmation from paypal, but not my site - so they get very worried etc.

I also notice that there is no paypal symbol in the one page check out on my site now - thought there used to be?

I will keep checking forums and blogs for the confirmation email thing - hoping there is a simple solution.

 Hi,

Has it got something to do with the configuration page, email section ?  I read somewhere it was about global joomla superuser configuration ?
