Hi

Had not realised until I read this post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=132104.msg456536#new

Languages do not switch correctly, is mixing up the vm frontpage languages and creating 500 links with mixed up urls for categories and products.

This happens in first click, a second click (or refreshing url again) loads languages correctly, so there must be some issue with the router file or vm not detecting language in first load or maybe with the vm and the language switcher module.

Please note this happens even in default beez template on clean installation!

Hi Jamna I had a developer to check this, and it was a custom field plugin causing it, disabling it solved it.
This plugin was made custom for us so only advise I can tell is to check if any of your plugins is causing it.

Is however strange that some of us had this issue,

ahh, good to know, Lindapowers.  I think it is noticeable that the core is more and more bugfree.

I also noticed there are some behaviours in joomla, which makes it harder to work with different languages.

First: Anyone should check his SEF plugin and disable the language prefix for the default language to prevent errors with payments
Second: It is most time better to disable the "autochange" of the language switcher when logging in. When you have for example the cart as menuitem in any language, it is not a big problem, but else it can happen that people login and redirected to the home page
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member
