Cart Variants with images

hi all,
now i'm using VM2.5 and I'm planning to upgrade to VM 3.x i'd like to know if
it is possible with virtuemart 3 to use images/colors as Cart Variants like image attached - when you mouse over images enlarge.
Otherwise is there an extensions to do it?

You can use "Image" type custom field (see attached screenshot) with little customization in the layout.
