Turn off Vendor email after order edit - is it possible?

When an order is edited in the BE (eg by adding an item or altering a price) the order status history is updated using the order status at the time of the edit.

If this order status is included in the config 'Default Order Status to send email to vendor' then the vendor is sent an email.

However the shopper is not notified of this status "change"  even if the order status is included in 'Default Order Status to send email to shopper'. 

I don't necessarily want the shopper notified every BE edit but it seems inconsistent that the vendor is notified and the shopper is not.


Ideally I would like to turn off vendor email after order edits.  Is there a way to do this?

Or perhaps extra checkbox configs  'Send email to vendor after order edit' and 'Send email to shopper after order edit' might be be needed?
