When the product purchase is complete all works fine, but I'm receiving an error email from paypal IPN when the purchase is not complete:

Maybe the version of the PayPal plugin in that old VM version stopped working. PayPal has changed their api several times since VM2.0.22a was released. You should use newer versions of Joomla and VirtueMart, also because these old versions are vulnerable to hacking. See here: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files
