custom fields with list not saved

Hi I have several custom fields. The one without a list are saved and stored but the custom fields with a list are not saved. They are visible on product page and can be selected but they are gone in cart.

I have to many variables to manually enter for each product, I tried but it won't get saved, probably because of memory limits, so I need the custom field with list to work.
Thanks in advance.

(PS Also products with small lists have this problem so it is not a case of too many variables)
