Adding multiple corol variations for one producs?

Hi,

on my virtuemart shop I have approx. 100 products - watches. Each product-watch has variation of 3 colors. Since I don't intend to create extra 200 products in order to present all color variations, I am searching best solution to present ONE product in 3 ore more colors during order. I already have prepared pictures of each product with 3  different color so buyer could choose the wanted one before ordering and checkout. It should work similar to e-bay, please see image bellow



Can anyone appoint me how to solve this in virtuemart?

I have found soultionusing Child products and and new Custom field and it works great.

I hope that this topic will help someone in future.

However, I still have the same problem as post author did, I also need to change product image based on the color selected (different product picture for each color). I know that it is possible with child products, but I will have to create a lot of child products, which I rather not do, so I was hoping to find a different solution.

I understand that you are the developer of this extension? Would it be possible for you to provide a demo with this functionality? I looked at current demo, but you can't see functionality like this there.

I looked at demos, read the documentation, but I don't see how this would solve my problem, could you please explain it in more detail?

I can see the color changes, could you please tell me a bit more about how they are implemented? I does seem that child products are being used here.
