Cart popup not displaying after adding product to cart

VirtueMart version: 2.6.4
PHP version: 5.4.10
Bug is also present in Beez5 template: Yes
OS: OSX
SSL: No
SEF: Yes

Description of the problem:

When you press the button "Toevoegen aan winkelwagen" (Add to cart), the Fancybox loading screen comes up, but after that nothing happens anymore.
It just keeps loading forever. Nothing is added to the cart.

I have found no Javascript errors.

Please look into this issue for me.

Thank you for replying! I hadn't noticed that.

I found out what is causing the problem:

In the main menu where my home menu item also is, there is a menu item called 'Winkel' (Store).
This menu item points to an article called 'Winkel'.
This article contains some text, but really nothing else.

If I put that menu item on Public instead of Registered, the cart module works again!

Why it does this, I have no idea. It is not a VirtueMart menu item. It doesn't contain anything but text.

Could it be the word 'Winkel'? I can't think of anything else (right now).

if I try  http://onpole.org/testomgeving/ss/virtuemart/winkel  it takes me to   http://onpole.org/testomgeving/ss/virtuemart  so it is an alias for your root VM
