Product Quantity and Steps

Hi, I have been looking for an answer to the following on VM2

I need to sell a minimum quantity of 10 items but then the quantity can go up in steps of 1

I have set the minimum quantity value to 10 and the steps to 1 but on the front end the quantity value still starts at 1 and allows the client to add this quantity to the cart although it shows 0 value until the client manually selects a quantity of 10.

Is there a way that the quantity value can start at 10 but still go up in steps of 1 after.

in VM2.6 on the Product Status tab for each product you can enter a value for Minimum Purchase Quantity    and for Purchase Quantity Steps, and assuming you use Fancybox then the popup will display the minimum required order when someone tries to add less.

I have checked that the Minimum Purchase and Quantity steps are set correctly which they are.

Is Fancybox a plugin that I need to install as an addition to make the pop up message work.

No fancybox is a script installed by default, but some people turn it off in Configuration/Templates which stops the popup.

Thank you again for your response and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I have since switched on FancyBox which results in the pop up not showing but going to another page saying that the minimum quantity is 10, however, when Fancybox is on I loose functionality of the custom fields on all products.

You will see that the minimum purchase quantity has been set, but if a client selects a quantity less than the specified, it does not bring up a message about the minimum requirements.
