Display info paiement plugin in the template

Hello,

I'm working on a paiement plugin. I need to display in the template the logo of our partner (in the footer or in the left column) when the plugin has been installed.  I know it's possible with a module (we can create tpl, and hook the module in the template) but I d'like to do this with a paiement module.

If someone has any documentation about it. (a link or something like that)
