Hey,
I have a fresh install of VM 2.0.2 on J!2.5.4
I keep getting the errormessage "Error loading component: com_virtuemart, 1" on every VM-related page I go to.

Searching this forums hasn't helped, all I could find was the beginners guide, this didn't help (I had taken both of these steps)
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=99127.0

It doesn't seem to hinder any action (although I'm not very far into the VM part of the site yet) but it is an errormessage after all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

VM 2.0.2 is a migration version of old one and in 2.0.2 there are lots of plugins missing that is why you are getting this kind of error so upgrade your version of VM 2.0.2 to VM 2.0.3 which have best plugins and it will solve your error .

Hmm strange, looks like a joomla error, sorry no clue.
Should I fix your bug, please support the VirtueMart project and become a member

For some reason the upgrade to 2.0.4 fixed this for me.

I just updated to 2.0.20 from 2.0.18a and now I get this error. I know that you said it is a joomla thing but it did not occur until I did the vm update. :(
No such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer. I won't ask if I know the answer or found it using the search as you suggested.

See this post, still not fixed on my site except for turning off cache.  NOTHING VM devs have suggested has helped.

In my case it was a search plugin that was causing the issue. I disabled a few of the search plugins and on more issues. Funny that the error was showing up on other pages that were not search page related but I tell that fixed it for me. The search features I turned off were not of importance and in face no idea why there were even installed.

I also saw all your post on the cache and error issue. Caching in VM seems to be bad. I had to turn it off only because it would no allow images to switch to https and other links didnt change. Piss on VM and Joomla cache.

I disable and enable progressive cache again - and now I not have "Error loading component: com_virtuemart, 1"
