Module or Code that can display total for a category on flypage

i am needing a customer module (or code) that i can use to display a total for a category.

For example, some of the categories on my store contain 10-20 products.  Many times, customer purchase all of the products for the category.   To make life easier for our customer service reps that quote prices over the phone, it would be nice to have the total for a particular category displayed on that category flypage.   

I would like the code to be dynamic, so that if i change a price of a particular item, the price that is displayed on the category is updated as well.

1/2 way.  i hired someone who was a huge let down.  he did provide me with the code (for payment).

however, if the product has a "discount", it will not show the discounted price.  The developer refuses to fix it.
