We have the same issue as you with payment descriptions, shipment descriptions etc, basicly everything which is not the title itself were we can use a multilingual key.

In our case we did as you, in payment method "bank transfer" we included the text in our spanish language and in english.

A very dirty solution indeed, hope they take it in to account in the future.

This same issue applies to your request, seems they though about the title of fields being translatable with keys but not the actual content text.


I'm pretty sure they know the actual translation system of custom fields is not very user friendly or flexible and maybe they engage it in future releases, translating products and categories is a nice system, wish it was the same for the rest of the plugins and fields.
