Multilingual menu module assignment issue

Hello,

I am developing a multilingual shop with the latest virtuemart.
I have two languages (english and chinese). I set up a menu link to each category (menu item : virtuemart category), and I'm trying to display some module only on the categories pages.

So in the module assignment I select only the categories which are on my menu.
It works for the english version : the modules are displayed on the correct pages. But it won't work with the chinese version, and I can't figure out why.

My menu is for both language, but I tried with a menu only in chinese without success.
My modules are for both language too.

Des anyone have an explanation ?

Edit : my main language is chinese, so the actual URL is tw/shop/home-decoration for the chinese and en/home-decoration for the english version
