Choosing a child product only updates price, not the description and picture

Hi all,

I am testing a new Virtue Mart website and I want to see if Parent/Child articles is something I can use.
I think I set it up right but when I click on an article and choose a child, it does not reload the page.
Only the price is updated but not the description and picture.
Also when I put the child is the basket the pop-up shows the parent.

When I go to checkout it shows the article and ski of the child but a miniature from Parent.
Is this something I can fix?

I am on Joomla 2.5.14 and use Virtuemart 2.0.24 with template VP-promart.

Is this by the way a good template or are there better ones?
