Hello!

Two days now I am trying to migrate all of my products from VM1 to VM2.

I am using CSVI.

But, the only migration I can do is to migrate my categories and products without images and without having my products connected with the categories.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!  :)

I'm not sure what you mean.
I'm not using the embedded migrator.

Do not forget that I'm on a brand new installation of Joomla. Just a migrator is not for me, I think.

Migration (this forum section name) is NOT using CSVI Improved btw.

PRO

the categories changed ID's

You can make an export of the new categories, then, use a replace for the new category ID.

&&

Why not use the migrator, it is easier.

To do it with csv, it's best to import into the database directly with some things, and to also use CSVI.

It's a multi step process when doing it this way.

You have to manually change IDs, and structure of the file.

&& you can do images, as long as they are in the right folder. && you make sure the correct URL path is in the import file.

you, also need to upload images to new folder, and then go to media manager & "synchronize" media.

I am on Joomla! Version 1.5.26 and I want a new, clean install of Joomla! 2.5.14 with the new VM.

I have tried to use CSVI but I cannot have a complete migration. My problem is that when I upload my CSVI Product Export the products and categories are okay, but:
1) the categories are not connected with my products
2) there are no images

I have also tried to use the Migrator but:
1) there are no images
2) not all of my products, not even the half of them, are migrated

What else can I do?

Thank you in advance!  :)

1. Examples of your files for import, screen shot of import settings?
2. Post here in short how did you perform migration.

I think I did it through the migrator. Now I only have to load the images  :D

What I've done.

Took all the old VM'S databases and put them into my new VM's db. Then changed the prefix from "the_olds_db_prefix" to "new_db_prefix" and started the migration.

The only problem is that it tells me that "File for /home/xxxxx/public_html/xxx/images/stories/virtuemart/product/_________________xxxxxxx.png is missing", but all the images are in there.  :(

Thanks!  :)
